Are you getting tired of just spinning your wheels on an exercise bike? I think it’s time you get out and experience the real thing. Road cycling can be a lot of fun, but many women just don’t know how to get started and are afraid there might large expenses involved or think they just don’t have the know how to enjoy this wonderful sport.

First, to avoid a lot of expense in getting started, it’s good to look for some used road bicycles. You can normally find one pretty cheap at a yard sale and it will save you a lot of money initially. You just need to check the bike and make sure that the brakes are properly adjusted and the tires are inflated, but not over inflated then you are ready to hit the road. Some women that get a used road bike or mountain bike take it to a bike shop and have the workers look it over and give it a tune up. This normally costs about twenty bucks, but often you can watch them and learn so you can do it yourself next time.

Road cycling is great exercise and it is a wonderful way to get fresh air and explore your favorite places. So get out there and find yourself a used road bicycle and start pedaling!
